Calving pattern is very important in a block calving system. Cows need increased levels of selenium, cobalt, iodine and copper at calving to ensure a healthy birth, as well as effective cleansing. They also need high levels at conception time. How do you ensure enough supplementation of selenium, cobalt, iodine and copper over the service period?

Bolus cows at drying off with tracesure Cu/I. This supplements selenium, cobalt and iodine for up to six months, and copper for up to eight months. Then bolus your cows with Tracesure-I one month pre service, to further boost the levels of selenium, cobalt and iodine in the cows diet during service.
