Lambs that survive lambing, initially do well, but then, once weaned their growth rate slows down, they seems to go backwards, and don’t finish until winter time. They seem to melt away at weaning even though their up to their bellies in grass. Selenium, cobalt, iodine and copper are all production limiters if not supplemented properly. Over a grazing period all four elements can become deficient in grass, especially so in rapidly growing grass. How can we supplement selenium cobalt iodine and copper in a cost effective way over the summer period?
